Digital Literacy and Computer Science

AMSTI’s DLCS initiative supports educators in delivering the Alabama Digital Literacy and Computer Science standards through a comprehensive suite of resources and professional development. The program includes the DLCS Course of Study, unpacked standards, companion sites, and ALEX-aligned lesson plans—all intended to guide teachers in designing and delivering curriculum that meets state expectations.
Additionally, AMSTI offers curated digital resource collections—such as Wakelets—and administers a competitive Robotics Grant program to enable schools and educators to integrate hands-on robotics and coding experiences. These offerings cater not only to classroom teachers but also to after-school programs and clubs, making DLCS support accessible to a broad range of learners and instructional settings.

Let me know if you'd like more details about any of the DLCS components!
