Evaluations

Since 2004, AMSTI has been evaluated annually by a team of outside evaluators.  Below are the summary results of those evaluations, plus content knowledge surveys and other documentation supporting AMSTI's continued success.

The Results Are In...

Math gains for AMSTI students equate to an average of 28 extra days of schooling!

A just-released five year, $3 Million study shows that AMSTI is significantly effective in increasing student achievement.  In math, the gains are equivalent to an extra 28 days of classroom instruction.

The study was funded by the US Department of Education and conducted by the SERVE Center at UNC Greensboro and Empirical Education, Inc, an outside evaluation firm.  The study looked at students in Grades 4-8 in both AMSTI and non-AMSTI schools.
